C.R. is the Community Police Officer in the Patrol/Professional Standards Division at Lehigh University. He is one of the officers responsible for training the department’s officers, as well as faculty and staff. He holds instructor certifications in Aquatics, Lifeguarding, First Aid/CPR/AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, Firearms, Active Shooter Response, R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) for both men and women, Advanced R.A.D., and Weapon Defense Systems.
C.R. also serves as a part-time police officer for the Moscow Police Department and as a part-time instructor at Northampton Community College. He is trained and certified as a Crisis Negotiator and as a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT).
Before joining Lehigh, C.R. worked in the restaurant industry from the age of 14 and managed YMCA aquatic facilities in Harrisburg and Stroudsburg, earning his Professional Director Certification from the National YMCA. He was also a member of the County Search and Rescue Team, holding SCUBA certifications in open water, advanced open water, cave, ice, dry suit, mixed gas, search & rescue/recovery, and crime scene preservation.
C.R. attended Lackawanna College before enrolling in and graduating at the top of his Police Academy class in 2006. He lives locally, and his daughter Alexa is part of Lehigh’s Class of 2026. In addition, he is a successful entrepreneur with his own health and safety business, which he has run for over 20 years.
In his free time, C.R. enjoys swimming, scuba diving, skiing, biking, shooting, cruising, and entertaining family and friends.
